truSculpt® flex technology is unique, in that it replicates different aspects of a workout with 3 treatment modes. Within a session, there is a prep mode for warming up and stretching the muscles, a tone mode for holding the muscle in contractions to increase strength and endurance, and a sculpt mode with faster and deeper contractions to build mass and sculpt. This targeted technology is more popular than others on the market because it can create more enhanced results with a precise system. Other technologies may contract the muscles, but without a targeted system.

Prior to your treatment, you will have a consultation to determine the best truSculpt® protocol to meet your goals. At the first treatment, you will have pictures and measurements taken to establish a baseline. The treatment doesn’t take long, depending on how many areas are treated. This treatment is not painful, but can be a little uncomfortable. Your body will adjust to the sensation. There could be some muscle soreness post treatment, similar to that of a workout, but generally it’s very mild.

There are no major side effects of truSculpt® flex. There may be some mild soreness in the areas treated, but there shouldn’t be any irritations to the skin. This treatment is very safe and effective, as it is non-invasive.

Compared to other similar devices on the market, truSculpt® flex is unique in that, it can target specific muscles and muscle groups; and can treat up to 8 areas in one session. truSculpt® flex is cleared by the FDA to strengthen, firm and tone the abdominal, buttocks and thigh muscles. Competitors that use other technologies, such as electromagnetic stimulation, are placing that magnetic field over an entire area and activating peripheral nerves to contract the muscles. truSculpt® flex uses electrical stimulation and their proprietary Multi Directional Stimulation (MDS) with the placement of smaller individual handpieces throughout the treatment area, for a more targeted approach. This results in a more customized treatment. The results of the treatment can be long-lasting, but similar to working out, if muscle is not maintained, results can be diminished over time. Maintenance treatments are recommended and a package can be designed to meet individual needs.

An ideal candidate for truSculpt® flex, is someone that has body fat within a normal range and lives an active lifestyle, ideally including exercise. Even with consistent exercise, there can be areas where we would like to see more results. truSculpt® flex will take muscle sculpting to the next level, beyond working out. Individuals who may be carrying extra weight could still receive these types of body treatments, but may not see the same results. Those individuals could still benefit though, as fat reduction in the area is a side effect to this treatment, and they could still have increased muscle strength. A realistic expectation must be set for each individual.
